Littlebird vs Claude: AI Assistant With Context Built In

Littlebird vs Claude: context you paste in, or context that builds itself?

Littlebird and Claude are built for different jobs. Claude is powerful when you give it the right context through uploads, projects, and prompts. The alternative builds that context for you: it pays attention to the active window you're working in and transcribes your meetings, so the memory is already there when you ask, and Routines can act on it on a schedule.

Common questions about Littlebird and Claude

Can Claude sit in on a meeting?

No. Claude has no view of a meeting unless you paste in a transcript or upload a file. Littlebird transcribes by listening along on your computer, with no bot joining as a visible participant, so the call is captured as it happens. That is the practical difference between assembling context by hand and having it collected while the work is going on.

What context does Littlebird gather on its own?

The active window you are working in and the audio of your meetings, which it transcribes and summarizes. Where Claude works from whatever you paste or upload, Littlebird has the doc, the thread, and last week's call already in memory. It is not a screen recorder, records no video or screenshots, ignores password fields, and auto-excludes password managers such as 1Password. Pause, exclude, or delete at will.

Is setup required before Littlebird knows my work?

No. It starts from your screen, so the first useful answer comes without connecting anything. Integrations are optional and deepen access: Google Calendar for scheduling, Gmail for replies drafted in context, Notion for your docs. If you already use Claude, note that Littlebird runs an MCP server on the Power plan and above, so Claude Desktop or Claude Code can reach your Littlebird memory through it.

What does Littlebird cost?

Basic is free at $0 and includes full context from day one, with limits on daily chats, routines, and meeting notes. Plus costs $17 per month billed annually or $20 monthly, includes a 14-day free trial, and removes the meeting notes limit. Power is $42 per month with an annual subscription ($510 up front) or $50 monthly and adds MCP access. Pro is from $100 per month. Students pay $15 per month with a .edu email.

Can I start on a free plan?

Yes. Basic costs nothing and gives you full context from day one, so you can judge it against your current Claude workflow on real work. Plus adds a 14-day free trial for the paid capabilities. Enrolled students get the first two months free, then $15 per month with a .edu email.

Which operating systems does Littlebird support?

Mac and Windows. The desktop app is the core product because the active window and your meetings live there. iOS and Android companion apps are for questions on the move; they draw on the context already collected on your desktop and never capture the phone screen.

Where does my data live, and who trains on it?

It lives in the AWS cloud, US East, encrypted with AES-256 at rest and in transit, while the app runs on your computer. It is not used for training: neither Littlebird nor its underlying model providers train on your data, and it is never sold. Littlebird is SOC 2 certified, GDPR-aligned and CCPA-aligned, and every connection uses TLS 1.3. Delete anything, or everything, at any time.
